Club Information for the Fall Semester
Hello new club members,
Welcome to the UMD Weightlifting Club! Here is some information about our lifting times.
Several of our members training in Olympic Weightlifting have been doing some training at Crossfit Silver Spring. The owner is an alumni and has been incredibly generous to us and our training. If you are serious about competiting in Olympic Weightlifting, let us know and we can see if transportation can be arranged.
Besides that, the Weightlifting club meets in the School of Public Health, which is open from 5:30 to 10:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This is the building next to the ERC. Take the stairs down, you will find the weight room in 0103 across from the matted gym.
Since we have no official hours, we can't really set up a specific time for everyone to meet. However, there is THE place to be on campus if you are serious about lifting. Its got the heaviest weights, the best equipment, and most of all - far less people than the ERC.
Check out our facebook group to see who is going to train.
